About HOVIAT

Introducing HOVIAT Organization

HOVIAT – Women’s Identity is a non-profit, non-political organization, federally registered in Canada. It was originally founded in Afghanistan in 2021 and officially registered in Canada in 2025. The organization focuses on justice and empowerment, working to advance the social, cultural, and economic development of women.

HOVIAT stands with women to ensure their identities are recognized, their voices are heard, their stories are reflected, and future leaders emerge from among them. The organization is committed to women’s empowerment, defending human dignity, and combating gender-based discrimination and violence, with particular attention to marginalized and vulnerable women.

Our Approach

At HOVIAT Organization, we take a multidimensional approach to women’s empowerment — from education to networking, from counseling to advocacy. Every action we take is grounded in solidarity, awareness, and justice.

Education & Awareness

Through workshops, courses, and dialogues, we empower women to know their rights, build skills, and foster personal growth.

Advocacy & Voice

By documenting stories, producing reports, and engaging in international forums, we amplify the voices of marginalized women.

Networking & Connection

We serve as a bridge between women in Afghanistan, the diaspora, and other migrant communities—building synergy and global solidarity.

Our Mission

At HOVIATt, we support women in recognizing their individual, social, and cultural identities, believing in their own capabilities, and stepping forward as conscious, active, and influential leaders in society.

Our services and programs are accessible to all women who face discrimination, violence, or marginalization—regardless of ethnicity, background, or social status.

Through awareness sessions, educational workshops, and short-term programs, we create opportunities for women’s personal and social growth. These activities are designed based on the real needs of our audience, aiming to strengthen self-confidence, enhance awareness, promote storytelling, and foster spaces of female solidarity.

Our Vision

We believe that lasting change emerges from awareness, solidarity, and collective action.

Women are the bearers of collective memory, voices of justice, and architects of the future.

HOVIAT provides a platform for these voices to be heard and strengthens women’s leadership on the path toward social justice.

Who We Are

HOVIAT – Women’s Identity is a collective of women in exile and women within Afghanistan, each with a background of resistance, advocacy for justice, and defense of women’s rights.

Our members include lawyers, social activists, professionals, and women leaders who, driven by deep concern for legal, cultural, and social issues affecting women, focus their mission on empowering women and improving their status.

HOVIAT was founded to create a platform for identifying the roots of discrimination and violence against women and developing practical solutions to address these challenges.

We believe that women should enjoy equal rights and be empowered to play an effective and decisive role in society.
