Maliha Malikpour
Women's and human rights activist
Maliha Malikpour is a dedicated advocate for women’s rights with over a decade of experience. She joined ActionAid Afghanistan in May 2010 as a Women’s Rights Officer and held various key positions, including Senior Policy Officer, Project Manager, Consortium Team Leader, and Program Manager.
Maliha has extensive expertise in gender mainstreaming, violence against women, program delivery, management, leadership, fundraising, proposal writing, budgeting, budget management, and administrative tasks. She has participated in national and international advocacy efforts, including meetings and conferences in Italy, the United Kingdom, Sought Africa, Nepal, India, Kenia and Thailand.
As an active member of the Afghan Women Network since 2013, Maliha served as an elected member of the Board of Directors from 2018 to 2021.
Maliha holds a dual academic background, with a degree in Law and Political Science from Kabul University in Afghanistan, and a diploma in Business and Project Management from CCBCT in Canada.
