HOVIAT – Women's Identity successfully concluded its three-month Intermediate English Language Program, held from September 14 to December 14, 2025, with the participation of 27 Afghan women from Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iran. The program aimed to strengthen English language skills while expanding participants' access to educational and professional opportunities. Facilitated by Ms. Shabnam Ahmadi, the course provided a supportive learning environment that encouraged skill development, confidence, and peer engagement. Despite challenges such as unstable internet access, the program was completed successfully and concluded with a closing ceremony where participants reflected on their learning experiences and achievements.

Successful Completion of a Three-Month Intermediate English Language Program for 27 Afghan Women

Online English Language Course (Intermediate Level)

The Education and Capacity Building Committee of HOVIAT – Women’s Identity organized a free online English language course for women and girls with limited access to educational opportunities. The program was conducted from June 19, 2024, to May 11, 2025, with the participation of 28 learners, aiming to improve participants’ English language skills and provide an accessible learning opportunity. The 12-week course was delivered through Google Meet, with one-hour weekly sessions held from 7:00 to 8:00 PM (Afghanistan time). Facilitated by Ms. Ghazal Mozaffari, the program focused on empowering women and girls through language development, increased confidence, and access to flexible educational opportunities.

Write Your Voice” – Storytelling and Narrative Writing Course

HOVIAT – Women’s Identity implemented the online training program “Write Your Voice” from June 14 to August 30, 2025, with the participation of 20 Afghan women living in Afghanistan and Canada. This eight-week program was designed to create a safe and supportive space where women could use writing as a tool to process emotional pressures, document their personal experiences, and express their voices during challenging circumstances. Through storytelling and narrative writing, the program encouraged participants to preserve their life stories, challenges, and lived experiences. These written narratives contribute to documenting women’s realities, transferring experiences to future generations, raising social awareness, and strengthening advocacy efforts addressing the barriers, discrimination, and challenges that have marginalized women in society.

HOVIAT’s First Online Creative Writing Workshop for Afghan Women

From November 2024 to January 2025, HOVIAT – Women’s Identity organized its first online Creative Writing Workshop for 20 Afghan women living in Afghanistan. The program was designed to provide a safe and supportive space where participants could express their lived experiences, reduce emotional stress through writing, and strengthen their storytelling skills. By the end of the workshop, all 20 participants had completed and documented their personal stories. These narratives are preserved in HOVIAT’s organizational archive as part of its commitment to documenting Afghan women’s experiences, preserving their voices for future generations, and supporting advocacy efforts for women’s rights and social justice.
