HOVIAT – Women’s Identity organized an educational session titled “Psychological Trauma: Wounds That Cannot Be Seen.”
The workshop aimed to raise awareness about the emotional and psychological effects of trauma, especially among Afghan women facing prolonged stress, violence, and social restrictions.
During the session, Dr. Rahimi discussed the nature of trauma, its hidden symptoms, long‑term emotional consequences, and the ways unresolved trauma affects daily life, relationships, and self‑perception. Participants learned practical techniques for emotional regulation, grounding exercises, and self‑care strategies to support mental well‑being.
The workshop created a safe and supportive environment where women shared personal experiences, asked questions, and engaged in meaningful discussions. The session concluded with guidance on seeking psychological support and building resilience in challenging environments.
