Zeinat Sulaiman began her legal studies in Kabul, Afghanistan, where she was recognized as a high-achieving student and actively participated in national and international initiatives related to peace and justice.

Following the political changes in 2021, she was forced to leave Afghanistan. She spent six months in a refugee camp in Albania before resettling in Canada, where she currently lives in Toronto.

Despite the challenges of displacement, she has remained committed to empowering immigrant and refugee women. She is a co-founder of Hoviat – Women’s Identity, where she plays an active role in shaping the organization’s mission and vision.

She is currently pursuing studies in Administrative Management – Health Services at Seneca College in Toronto and works to promote equal opportunities for women through education and community engagement.
